Rainy days get me cookin’

By May 2, 2019Recipes

Before we reach those glorious summer months we have to get through the rain first. But I for one really don’t mind the rain. For starters, it’s great for the garden. And second, it gives me an excuse to catch up on movies and cook some of my favorites.

Need some ideas? Was hoping you would. I have a million ways to rationalize enjoying chocolate, and MindBodyGreen just so happens to have the perfect recipe to start any rainy day. They appropriately label their CBD-infused Lavender Hot Chocolate as potentially “the most calming drink on the planet.” Take a look at this recipe and tell them they’re wrong. They’re not.

1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk of choice (almond and hemp work great; coconut is also delicious but changes the flavor a bit)

1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 dropperful neutral-flavored CBD oil (we used CW Hemp’s Olive Oil Everyday)

Pinch of sea salt

Now that we’ve sufficiently calmed those nerves, it’s time to enjoy something a little sweet, right? Of course it is. I love the recipe Clean Eating Kitchen suggests for a sweet, healthy power boost to your afternoon. It’s for Coconut Raspberry CBD Energy Bites. Just saying it can add a charge to your taste buds. Go ahead and try ☺. You can find everything you need to know to add this to your rainy day cookathon right here.

Let’s end this water-logged blog on a seriously healthy high note. Shall we? I can’t get enough of this chicken salad from CBD Asylum. It packs a punch in the all the right areas.

And the dish is flexible enough to adapt to your levels of CBD taste. Want to add extra? No problem, just infuse a little more to the vegetable oil. No matter what, the integrity of the dish will not be compromised. I just love it.
