Three Most Popular Celebrity Diets of 2018

It’s hard to decide which option may be the best fit for our lifestyle when it comes to popular diet trends. Our favorite celebrities definitely know how to prepare for photoshoots while maintaining their health and energy, but before you commit to the new diet they’re swearing by, take some time to dive a little deeper. Always make sure that what you’re eating creates balance and serves a purpose in your life. In this post, I wanted to share a few of the most popular celebrity diet trends of the year that may be a good fit for you!

Kim Kardashian is an advocate the Atkins 40 plan. This is a great diet option if you’re trying to lose less than 40 pounds or want a diet with a greater variety of food to choose from; it’s also ideal for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. This plan limits sugar and carbohydrates by recommending 40 grams of net carbs, 4 to 6-ounce servings of protein and 2 to 4 servings of fat per day to begin with. The food you eat can come from any of the food groups, and Atkins 40 provides an acceptable foods list on their website.

On the other hand, Kourtney Kardashian follows the ketogenic diet. The goal of the ketogenic diet is to put (and keep) your body in a state of fat-burning ketosis. This is done by eating more healthy fats and lowering your intake of sugar and carbohydrates. A little more strict, this diet is based on the consumption of meats, leafy greens, above-ground vegetables, dairy, nuts and seeds, avocado and berries, sweeteners, and other fats while eliminating intake of grains, sugar, fruits, tubers, and legumes. This is a great popular diet for weight loss, mental focus, blood sugar and appetite control, increased energy, and even acne treatment.

Jessica Biel is a fan of the paleo diet. This is a great choice for helping you to focus on whole, fresh foods and may impact more than the number on the scale. Many people claim that the paleo diet helps eliminate bloating, clear acne, prevent seasonal allergies, and alleviate migraines. The general rules for this diet plan include avoiding grains (both refined and whole), legumes, packaged snacks, dairy, and sugar. Acceptable foods include vegetables, fruit, meat, seafood, eggs, nuts, seeds, fats, and oils.

When you decide to try a new trend, make sure to do as much research as possible first, and pay attention to how your body feels after each meal when you get started. Being a skillful eater is about more than following a trendy diet simply because someone else does; it’s about truly educating yourself on whether or not that diet will work for your lifestyle. What works for one person (even a celebrity) may not always realistically work for another.
